Covid-19 Office Update
Now offering telemedicine!

Dear Patient,

The Malladi Bariatrics and Advanced Surgery team is committed to helping new patients and existing patients get healthy and stay healthy! We are pleased to announce that we are offering telehealth visits. You may have a virtual visit from the comfort and safety of your home!

If you are a new bariatric patient interested in starting your weight loss journey to better health, please let us help you. You don’t have to let the Covid-19 outbreak stall reaching your goals. To maximize your success with weight loss surgery, we offer a comprehensive educational program. You may complete the initial consultation with Dr. Malladi, the educational class, dietitian sessions, and the psychological evaluation, through virtual visits.

Since, most health insurances require these visits as part of the insurance approval process (which can take three to six months), you will be ready to move forward with surgery when we are able to resume performing elective (non-emergency) surgical procedures. We will review your bariatric insurance benefits with you before the initial visit.

If you are a new general surgery patient suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia or abdominal wall hernia, gallbladder disease and other general surgical conditions, you may be appropriate for a telehealth visit. During the visit, we will review your medical issue and history and discuss the disease process and options. We will develop a plan for you; however non-emergent surgeries and testing will not be scheduled until the current health crisis is over since we are conserving medical supplies and personnel.

Please call our office for details at 214-242-9737.

Our thoughts are with you as we go through this situation together, and hope that you are safe and healthy!
